4G Recall..

I just got a letter today from Acura stating that I need to bring my car in to my dealer to replace a couple faulty suspension bolts. Basically, the letter explains that the bolts on the left and right suspension lower arms do not have enough anti-corrosion coating on them and that over time, these bolts could corrode and loosen. I believe this applies to all 2009 TL's. Anybody else got this letter?

I haven't gotten one but thanks for the heads-up. I'll check with the dealer this week.

I got it. I think you get them when sign up at myacura. I don't think it's a 'recall' though?

Well, considering that you need to bring the car in to fix something that's defective, to me that's a recall.

the service bulletin mentions a mark to placed near the engine compartment vin #. Since I had just purchased the car - I thought I would check for the mark - nope
The engine comp vin# is directly underneath the rear center engine comp cover

Hey Pete's back, good deal. Is this update/recall on a specific model as I haven't received or heard anything so far?

DJAROVSKY - Is there a master link to go to check for Service Bulletins and recalls? I tried to shorten the link you posted and had no luck. Thanks

There is no master link for the public that I am aware of, so you will have to check daily or weekly for new TSBs. Also periodically check the TSB links, as they may get updated for content.

The portion after the last / in the link is A for Honda, B for Acura....then the two digit year....then the TSB number.

You can also obtain a paid subscription to Honda Service Express for full access to just about everything.
