Navi Update
Hi, just asking for some feedback, I received an email couple of days ago from acura saying It is time to update my map with a special for $99 w/free shipping did anyone receive this email and is it something I should react on because honestly I've never seen a special for the map update it is always $149.99 on the site just wanted some input on this. thanks in advance.

Not that I am aware. It's always $180 for us.
A couple of years ago, I got them to admit that the US and Canadian versions were the same disc, and they said because I had figured it out, I could get the $99 deal, but that I'd have to ship to a US address. Since then, I believe they have differentiated the US and Canadian discs.

The US disks are white and the Canada disks are grey. The 07 US disk I had omitted coverage of some spots in Canada deemed unimportant. The Canadian version did not. Also, the US disk seemed to relate everything to the states despite my home location. It locked in on Cali or Seattle for searches, where now it's BC.
I used a backed up version of Canada 2012 maps, worked perfectly. $150 for updates that don't really update that much isn't worth it. This should be a $50 fee at most.
