iPhone bluetooth + iPod function

Can I use it as iPod and still connect to bluetooth (Hands Free) for voice call?

I had both connected (bluetooth & USB), but then iPod no longer output music through the system... (I'm not on the phone).

Anyone?

I have a iphone 4g and Ican play my ipod and use the bluetooth as well. If the music is playing through the usb it will pause when calls come through. I not sure why you are having a problem. Just make SURE when you enter the car the bluetooth connects to the car first. THEN connect the usb. Otherwise you will only get sound from the ipod in bluetooth mode. If you do not get any sound from the ipod, you can manually go your ipod and switch the audio to usb. I hope this is clear?

I have the connection sequence reversed, I guess that's the problem... but I also tried the bluetooth audio stream when USB iPod is not outputing, still nothing coming out of it either.

Anyway, I'll reverse the connecting sequence and see how it behaves. Thanks!

I have something similar happened to me today. I didn't hear any sound from my iPhone but I can see all the tracks, etc in the Audio menu. I looked at my phone in the Music app and it says accessory connected (car's control) but below there is a docking icon. If you selected and choose USB over Handsfreelink it should play.

Hope that helps.

If you use the USB/ipod cable to connect/charge, AND you've got it set up with bluetooth audio, it fight initially over the audio if you've plugged it in as soon as you start the car. Once bluetooth hooks up, it will take over as the audio source on the iphone, and if you're in ipod/usb mode on the stereo, will lose sound, unless you flip the audiosource to handsfreelink on the car, or flip it on the phone back to the dock connector.
