Picked up my 2011 SH-AWD Tech two weeks ago, and didnt notice until today that the hard drive has about 20-30 songs on there that I never put on (never have ripped anything to either this TL nor my old '09)..the car had less than 10 miles when I picked it up, so it obviously was brand new so I have no idea why there is anything on the HDD.

 

maybe the car went on a short test drive - and a customer tested the feature?

or maybe just tested the same at the dealer lot w/o driving the car - maybe a salesman demonstrated the feature to a customer on the lot

 

Probably the salesman or the lot attendant.

 

Mine came preloaded with two audio books ...

I thought the dealer would wipe all setting when they do the PDI?

 

your assuming they do a proper pdi...

 

PDI is done when it comes off the truck. The lot attendants and salespeople have access to the car after that and before you buy it.
