No doubt, 2009 TL is a very nice looking car and 3 Gen will look aged, a little bit outdated when both cars will be on the street.

Let me tell you guys something. This car is going to be smoking hot, lookswise. I didnt really like the TSX no matter what pics I looked at on the net...I just saw a brand new Gray TSX in a parking lot and let me tell you pics do not do it justice ! This car is flat out gorgeous , grill and all ! If it werent for the wussy engine I would trade my 3rd gen in for it.
Back to the TL...man I hope a six speed manual rears its beautiful head soon....

Guys, the photo is overlit and there is a sharp contrast so that all of the character lines are so strong. The front fenders probably wont look so "fat" in person. I think the car looks awesome, I have liked that grill since the first time that I was it on the MDX... I want one..

Umm the 3g and 4g TL's look better then the g35! And this 4G tl might be faster then the g35.

I'm still waiting to see it in person before I make up my mind, but I have to say it doesn't look bad. Maybe in 2010, I'll consider trading up to a 4G. If it also has a lot of rattles like the 3G, then I'll have to look elsewhere. Let's hope they addressed the interior design/assembly.

 

Got to see it in person. Sometimes renderings take away and sometimes give it the extra body lines. Stillhere, your link to JAPAN, is very uplifitng to me(though I can not read Japanese). HKS, BLITZ, INGS, Fabulous, ETC, can we get going with the upgrades, I really want to see what will happen 2 years from it release, So far not to bad, but like I said , have to see it in person.

Also, with the TL moving up in size to compete with the 5 series, Lexus GS, Infiniti M, etc., I wonder if Acura plans on releasing a V8 engine for the TL at a later date?

We know they are working on developing a V8...

Well, so much for the promises that it wasn't going to look like the RL and TSX. Having seen the grill in person on the TSX and in RL commercials, it still looks awful to me.

It is interesting to read the comments here of the people who do like the car, but are rationalizing the grill (wait for the mods, wait for the update, it would be great in body color, etc.)

Not a good sign, I fear.

 

Can someone photoshop this grill onto the 4G TL pic. I think if someone made an aftermarket grill similar to this it would really set the front off.

I agree with the earlier poster that the DRL and the fog lights being two different shapes makes the front look too busy.
Overall I like the design of this car and I'm sure most of the people who dont like it will have a different opinion once they see a modified one on the streets.

What I'm saying is to photoshop only the grill onto the original 4 door sedan picture without the extra mesh pieces.

..........too bulky for my taste. Yes I know that is what the new luxury is going to look like and I know our third gens will be outdated quickly....but I'd have to see more and more of them to actually give a good honest opinion. The rims though....niiiice. Can't wait to see more of the car.

The New TL is Maxima-ish & Camrysh..I am glad I bought my 3G...

I would so cop that, only thing is that there better be power to backup that aggressive look

Maybe if you get rid of the mesh in the lower grill, it would look better

 

I love the TL.....ever since the 3rd gen dropped the car always looked like its got something to smile about. =)
