2. I would stick with a 235/40/18 up front. Rear has more options. Possibly up to a 255 or 275? Check this: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/finnaly-changed-my-rear-tires-275s-255s-some-h-r-springs-745841/

I just got a set and I went 18x8.75 +20 with 235/40/18 all the way around and I rub a lot. I've been lowered on Tein springs which dropped it over an inch after it settled. It looks good though and there is a very mild stretch to the tire.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...8#post14715978

Either way you go or whatever finish, it will look sic. do it!
If anyone else gets these just go with 225/40 as the largest tires, for the front at least. There are more people rubbing with 235/40 than people not rubbing with 235/40. I should have got 225 last year when I got them, regret it often but not enough to buy new tires again. Overall the wheels are great!

Ok. Saw the site. So I should just get the 18x8.75 all around? At stock height shouldn't rub? Lowered 1.5-2 inches, still shouldn't rub? I know I would 4x4 it, if not lowered, but that would be temporary

i have 8.75 all around +33. im running a 7mm spacer up front to clear the brembos. and a 225/40/18 tire. im dropped quite a bit and i hardly rub only in the front.
my buddy has a base with the same specs as me except his are +20 offset. he needs to get his fenders rolled. he rubs but not too bad

Funny, because all my rubbing is in the rear on the outboard fender well.

Ok so if I get the +33 I just need the spacer up front? I wont rub at all if I even lower the car 1.5-2"?

Yeah, I got that set up and I'm happy with it. I just wanted something easy to deal with. If your stock it shouldn't be a problem but you'll 4x4. lowered 2" and you will definitely rub. Good luck and post some pix!

So lowering it 2"= roll fenders, 1.5"=should clear? This is for +20?

Yeah, I think so. Your inner fender will naturally roll a little bit in the beginning as your suspension works but I think this is natural. It'll go away shortly. Just avoid driving with heavy people in the rear seat...ever.

Ok so my plan is 18x8.75 +20 with 225/40/18 with a 1.5" drop. Slight rub till fenders roll naturally.= looking sexy? Lol

my buddy with the base will elimate his rubbing issues when he rolls the fenders..

So if I get your size at stock height I should be fine. If I lower almost 2" I still have to roll the front? How is it with people in the back?

so youll need a 7 mm spacer to clear. ive tired a 5 mm and i feel its too close for comfort rim to brembo clearance. youll need to look into extended studs. dont let that scare you. the install isnt bad at all.

Did u not get that many threads on the wheelnuts? Also, are u saying that the 5mm spacers would clear the brembos?

i got 3 half turns. definatly not safe at all. yes a 5 mm clears... but i couldnt even put my credit card inbetween. i think you need a 3 mm clearance between the brembo and the rim to be safe

So since in the pictures above there is nearly no visible difference between the +20 and +33 concavity why are people using the +20 on a 5AT and running a narrower than factory tire to do it?

Just an FYI to you guys I'm going to be selling my almost brand new XXR 530s (18x8.75 +20 offset) in new 225/40-18 Continental DWS tires here in the coming week. They have been off my car for months. Bought them brand new about two months ago when I got my aspec kit but then I bought a new TL type-s and couldn't use the rims/tires because my fenders weren't rolled. With the amount of power that I am putting down now and that I will be putting down in the future, they don't have really have a place with my car. PM me if you're seriously interested.

I think its much easier to fine tune your fitment with +33 on a 5AT than dealing with stretching tires and pulling fenders. The concavity difference is nearly imperceptible. My 5 month wait is nearly over. Wheels should be here next week.

Ok I have had a few members pm about the XXR530/A-Spec set up that I am running which are 17x8.25 +35 offset and yes I am using some weak spacers to clear my brembos (3mm). There is nothing fancy about my ride.
