You can use the OEM sensors IF they fit the new wheels. Depends on the configuration of the new wheels as the sensors need to be able to be tightened down and fit sunggly against the wheel.

I have a dumb question about the tire pressure sensor system.
At what pressure does it decide to notify you about low pressure? I ask because here in Colorado last week, it was cold, 20 degrees out after work and my system said low pressure. Tires were at 28 psi as they were sitting outside all day. As I drove home, pressure went up and sensor shut off. I added more air to the tires but it just got me to thinking about what pressure the system decides is too low. Would the low range change depending on your tires?

Thanks

Minimum NHTSA requirement is detecting 25% of tire pressure loss within 20 minutes while driving at a speed of 31 to 62 mph, or a preset minimum value.
I believe the Acura has a 29 lb. threshold.

Do you think they"ll fit my wheels. The rims are 20in nd the tire size is 245/35/20

Can anyone help decipher the screen for adjusting the TPMS notification ? I'm referring to the service menu. I want to increase the limit as I have after market wheels that require a higher PSI. Is this possible?

Not quite sure what you are getting at here Increase the minimum/maximum psi limit of TPMS notification? Why would you need to do this?

The answer to this question is completely dependant on the design of your new wheels ... there is no generic answer OEM TPMS sensors worked great on my aftermarket wheels ... fit like a glove with no additional securing devices.

I want the warning to activate when my tire pressure drops below 33-35 PSI., not 28-30.
