Tein Purchase Help!!!!
Tein Purchase Help!!!!
Whenever I buy a new performance part I send a pm to about 40 different vendors on honda-tech. Recently I sent out for a price on the TEIN SS Coilovers with a edfc. Everyone is writing back saying different things but basically that they don't make a set made for 04+ TL's. Only for pre-03 models. But over 20 people on here have them. What's the deal? I want the best suspension for the money, that is going to have GREAT ride comfort on 19"s. Thanks for any help.

And instead of PMing H-T vendors why not PM Acurazine vendors? We are more knowledgeable about your vehicle apparently and we have great deals too.
How necessary is the edfc? I only use honda-tech because there are over 200 vendors and they will battle for my business. A parts dealer is a parts dealer. I get all my product knowledge from acurazine not honda-tech.

EDFC is not "necessary" at all. It just automates the adjustment process. You can do the same thing with a wrench and some time. IOW - it's a convienence. You have to decide if you're willing to pay for it.
A dealer is a dealer except the one's where you're getting "all your product knowledge" are paying the bills that keep the site running. If they are within a few dollars, why not buy from them?

EDFC- is motor unit that adjust the small place a the top of each shock itself- normally you would insert an allen wrench in there- it has a click setting for each position
Total time to adjust manually- seconds
edfc does not adjust ride height- that requires the 2 special lock nut wrenches for the spring perch/base height included with your new coilovers
MrHeelToe and Excelerate are both factory authorized Tein dealers and acurazine sponsors and can hook you up

The non edfc method to adjust:
Fronts- open hood- remove rubber cap from shock top- insert tool and twist
Rears, make a small hole in the rear deck behind rear seat headrest for tool, can be covered with many types of normal caps/plugs found on the car so its invisable
Then its stick tool in hole and twist.
The edfc is way cool- and once a good front bar for gen3 is out- many more ziners will get it for fun and fine tuning at the track
