they will, but I think they wont sit as flush with the fender. you will have to buy a "skinnier" tire. someone please correct me if i'm wrong.
OP wheels were 18x8 +45
Latest listing were 17x7.5 +55
The 17x7.5 +55 will sit 16mm further inward from the fender than the 18x8 +45 will. They also have 4mm less clearance on the inside of the wheel well.
EDIT: One would need taller tires for the 17's to maintain the same OD. There is likely a tire width that would work for both the 7.5 and 8 wheels (maybe 225 or 235?).

Even if they do fit, I think they'd look extremely goofy. Sunken in another 16mm? That's huge. Taller sidewall also sucks. I guess it'd be a softer ride, but at the cost of handling.

Like others have said, with a spacer it'd be no problem. If you're wanting a softer ride, or wanting these for a Winter set they would work great with a 235/45 on them.
Pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Pilot Super Sports in 255/40. If Tire Rack would just respond to my email inquiry confirming the new version (V2)
I'm pretty sure in 2016 we'll be seeing a new iteration of the PSS. If you notice on Michelin's website they now have "latest generation" denoting them. Pretty sure this has been added within the past few days.
Added, a recent review alludes that the older generations are not available, at least to them.

I just so happen to have a family member that holds a leadership position within R&D at their main North American Michelin site in South Carolina. I may shoot him a text later on to clarify.
TLDR - If you're planning on purchasing the PSS, make sure you're getting the latest generation, because it appears that two are currently available through suppliers and dependent upon stock.

If I could confirm with family, I may get to hear it from the horses mouth. If Michelin releases a new tire or newer version, it's at some point come across his plate so to speak.
Well there is nothing better than getting it from the horse's mouth, but shoot him an email and see what he says. He does post but not sure if he is going to necessarily find your question in a thread not titled or specific to tires.

I have the Michelin pilot super sport in 255-40-18 on my TL, they grip pretty well and I have every bolt on besides flash pro. When driving in the rain it feels like the roads are dry. I've even driven in light snow(1-2") and didn't have any problems there either. I had the Bridgestone re760 before and could easily spin those tires and they were not as good in the rain. I ended up liking the Michelin pss so much I have them on both cars now. If you look around they always have a 70$ mail in rebate it just moves to different retailers every month or two. I got mine from discount tire when they had the 70$ mail in rebate and then an additional $30 mail in rebate.
Oh and I had one experience with my PSS in the snow when caught with an early snow (2") in New England. Traction was half a step above bologna skins....... The PSS has a fairly soft rubber compound which is why it is so sticky. However in cold weather and snow, that soft compound hardens up pretty good, sort of like a plastic. Leaving the parking lot at work was an adventure as they had plowed the aisles so there was a little "speed-bump" of snow to get over just getting out of my spot. Once I was out on the road the tires heated up a little it was a little better, but not something I would recommend or would want to do again.
Found the TPMSs I'm going to use. You 04-05 guys don't have to worry about it...I'm basically paying to shut off a warning light, which is apparently illegal to disable.

Nope, long gone, and there won't be any more at that price. I think those of us that snagged them made sure of that, with all 20 sets selling in less than 3 days I think .

Always enjoy completely opposite views on the same tire installed on the same vehicle.
No offense but with a summer tire in cold weather I would think they would be like the bologna skins as stated above.
I placed an order for the PSS on Sunday in stock 235 size. 10 days to fulfill because DTD had to request a drop ship direct from Michelin but it was worth the $120 in rebates I got. 245 was readily available but I REALLY don't want to give up any more flushness for meat on the tires.
So is DTD drop shipping because of the size (popular or unique) or a newer version or both? I would likely go an order the 255/40 again as I have been happy with that size. It also provides a little more protection to the rims.
