PSA: nib18x8 OEM A-specs for $399 shipped
Didn't know where to put this so if mods can help me out. I think this is a
case where a poor choice of keywords and a misspelled part number lead to a surplus and clearing out old inventory.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OEM-Set-of-4-Vintage-Acura-Rims-18x8-Offset-55-/371520982261?nav=SEARCH
Didn't believe the price and even called them up to see and it is for (4) wheels. Last I checked they had 10+ sets. Didn't want to post until I ordered mine lol. Good luck to those who jump on these wheels. Sure they'll be gone soon.

18x8.5 is the one that's more coveted after.
Decent price for 18x8 though.

The picture shows a wheels with no outer lip.
No outer lip means it's an 18x8.5" TL wheel, or RL wheel.
A-Spec wheels should have +45 offset.
The only time it is +55 offset is if it's a TSX wheel. In that case the wheels would be 18x7.5".
The ad listing just doesn't make sense.

Also the seller, magautoparts, is a authorized parts dealer for toyota, vw, and honda. I did research for 3 days to see if it was legit. I'll find out Monday when they come and will keep everyone posted.
Part Number says it's for 2005 tl. They switched the first zero with an "O"

These are probably RL wheels, they don't fit on the TL.

Hmm...I really wish they had more information or I would have jump on these. I don't want to deal with the return and have to pay 10% restocking plus shipping them back.
Please update us on Monday

These wheels have no outer lip as seen in the picture.
Again, no outer lip indicates 8.5" aspecs or RL wheels.
Last time someone saw no outer lip they though they found a good deal (similar case here) and bought it only to find out it wouldn't fit on the car.

I just checked and TSX aspecs also don't have a outer lip.
My bet is that these are 18x7.5 +55 wheels
I know for fact these aren't 8" wide TL wheels
Either way, seller messed up the listing and I despise him for confusing the innocents.

Good luck OP but this just screams "too good to be true"
OP call them re: your order and confirm the offset.

08W18-SEP-200D – 05 TL Sparkle Silver
The wheels in the ad listing look gun metal, not sparkle silver.
The wheels in the picture don't have an outer lip which is only made in 2004 (18x8.5 +45), and the part number corresponds to 05-08 wheels (18x8 +45).
So many things wrong with the listing
Sparkle silver, with lip around edge (08W18-SEP-200D):

Yup, I think they are the TSX A-Spec wheels. It wouldn't be the first time I see someone selling TSX A-Specs and calling them TL A-Specs.

Hmmm, the picture here doesn't show a lip for 08W18-SEP-200D:

We all know TL wheels never came in +55 offset, or 18x8" with a lip.
The picture they used may be wrong, but even the specs are wrong also.
Right now it really just boils down to what the seller has, and only one way to find out

The lack/incorrect info didn't scare me away, infact it may have helped me get the wheels at the price. I'm banking on the reputation of the company and the part# for the legitimacy of the wheels. I'll update everyone as soon as the wheels come in, everyone has me worried/anxious now lol. Plus, if it's not for a TL, I can make a case for them to refund my shipping and any other cost since the listing stated the wrong part#.

Good luck, let us know the specs on the back of the wheel

Yeah, I emailed them asking for a picture of the embossed part #. We'll see.
Good luck, OP! If these are the actual 08W18-SEP-200D's, then I'm probably going to snag 2 sets.

I'm not going anywhere. I was very active on the lexus forums when I owned my IS300 for the past 7 years. And if there's 18 sets left then someone must've bought a set besides me. As far as the seller goes if it were Joe shmoe from podunk Louisiana I'd be skeptical but this is a full fledged parts supplier that's been around for quite a while.

He finally replied today. Here's the reply. It sort of helps....
"Good morning, I just called my parts manager about the offset of these wheels and the offset is 45 that was an error on our end. The color is a Smooth chrome finish, unfortunately, they are not a sparkling silver. As for as the number on the back of the wheel goes, that number would not be a part number it would be a manufacturer identification number which is only for the manufacturer."
and my reply:
"Thanks for the clarification on the offset! However, the OEM part # is indeed embossed on the wheel. The part # that you listed is for sparkling silver but that's not what you have pictured. That's why I m asking you to post a picture of the embossed part #..."

Okay, so that's one thing cleared up...
His listing is probably for 18x8 +45 "chrome look"
In that case, his picture is wrong and misleading.

I think the employee who was in charge of the listing didn't know jack about car parts. If you read the description in the company's other wheel listings he describes almost all the wheels as "smooth chrome finish" even though some, like the Honda Silverstars, are obviously gunmetal.

Most people including myself run 245/40/18.
On lowered cars people run 225/40/18 to avoid rubbing.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for another picture from the vendor and/or pictures from the OP. At $100/wheel, you can't beat that price. That's cheaper than my 17" MSW's that I bought from TireRack for my winter tires. Like I said, I'm gonna snag 2 sets for dedicated summer/winter tires
