I really wanted the 200E wheel, but since these are the D, I only bought one set for Winter. Thank you again for finding this fantastic deal sir.

Soooo- now that we're all fat and happy with A-Spec's coming within the week--- what tire/size are you guys picking up?

I'm pretty set on 245/40's.... Maybe the Nankang's, but I'm open to options

Most people put 245/40 on their A-Specs (at least the 8.5" guys do) for a little added protection and meatier look.

I'm leaning toward the falken pro g4. The "h"speed rating on the pirellis are keeping me away from them. Also just realized the BFgoodrich comp2 a/s are within my price range. I'll have to ask my friend to give me a quote on those too. I'm not lowered and don't plan to for a while (first kid and first car note in 7+ years) I see 245/40 is popular, and probably what I'm gonna get, but does anyone think I should get a 45 series to fill in the wheel gap for the time being? I don't want my tires to look too thin because I won't have a drop for a few years if you know what I mean.

Also forgot to mention that i think because we get an invoice (proof of purchase) and are buying the wheels from an authorized parts dealer we get the full factory warranty of 1 year. Can anyone confirm that?

Generally, a 235 will fit an 8" wheel best, and the 235/45/17 is actually slightly shorter than a standard 245/40 (4-5mm). So, I don't think the sidewall will look too thin, but you can get the 45 series if you want to take up some gap. You're looking at adding 17mm of tire, so cut in half that's .3" of gap you'll lose.

That will result in some real (a lot) weights to balance them. The 06+ have that flat notch to compensate for the tpms weight.

You'd be better off not having tpms in them.

I'm sorry I don't get it. They'd have to use real weights to balance them as a opposed to the fake weights they use nowadays? Lol jk. I'm sure a few extra grams on the wheel isn't going to hurt a daily driver. And like you I'd be annoyed of my tpms light being on.

Ordered two sets, I'll let you continue to be the guinea pig . I have an '06 too, please follow-up with mounting tpms and balancing these.

Saw this thread when you first posted, thanks for diving in first.

EDIT - The info on TPMS compatibility will likely seal the deal for others...

EDIT II - Fuck it, I bought the remaining four sets. A lot of TLs in my area I can gut a few sets of these to.

Yeah, maybe they'll give them away too

Looking at their other items, I'd say this is a Seller to "watch."

That's me...yeah, added that tpms sensors can apparently be used, that's the only reason I wanted them for myself, and them being 18". TPMS compatibility will help expand the local market.

A guy sold the TSX A-spec wheels (7.5") for quite a bit around here .

I recently purchased a set of oem 17" wheels. Still prefer the look of the 17", but have wanted 18", especially after putting on the A-spec suspension a few months back.

Can't believe these come with center caps and all other items as new.

EDIT - Just thanked every post you made in the thread. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. They were surprisingly efficient. I ordered Wednesday around 3 and it got to me Saturday around 12 but I'm in MI and they're on the east coast.

Yeah, these should ship on Monday as MLK Day isn't a UPS holiday, so should have these in two days, pretty close to my location at roughly 300 miles away.

I'm sure this thread will be alive for some time while we all report back in with what we've received .

I have a new set of TPMS's for someone if you need them (if MonkeyTrucker doesn't want them). I'll make you a better deal than DelRay will.

I'll just throw my in regarding TPMS, counterweights and tires size as follows:

I bought a set of the 2004 only 8.5" Gun Metal A-Spec from another AZine member and had them on my 04 TL. When I upgraded to my 08 TL-S, I added OEM TPMS and have had no issues - even without the cutout for the TPMS. On both cars, I had no issues with having them balanced (without and with TPMS.) In terms of size, when I bought them they came with 255/40 R18 Michelin Pilots. When those wore out I mounted Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the same 255/40 R18 size and they are still my Summer set up. Oh, and no rubbing in this size either.

I'm in Missouri and it shows the 25th. Seems like a long time TBH. But it's free, so no worries.

10mm, or .39", which is about 3/16". But it depends on the specific tire, and the aspect ratio as well, as the tire can be flatter (and wider) by virtue of the sidewall being thinner.

Mine shipped, shows picked up at 2:11pm and in transit via FedEx website.

The small chance to cancel everyone's order after seeing them sell like hotcakes has passed.
