How much for a drop?

Wondering what you guys paid to lower your TL's...I like the rims that are already on it (stock) and I would think it'd look dope with like a 2 inch drop

Coilovers are adjustable whereas springs you have a set drop height

If you do just springs you'll want stiffer shocks too, so it's still cheaper than coilovers but less adjustability. If you decide you want a smaller drop, the Aspec kit or Koni yellow adjustable shocks both give you about .75". I'm happy with that since I already bottom out some places.

Springs will temporarily get the job done, but eventually you'll want to have the option to adjust the ride height along with the stiffness. Save yourself money and a headache later by getting coilovers now.

Thanks guys. I found the answer through google which gave me a link to an AZ thread about it. I tried searching the forums but I always get a more specific link through google...weird and kind of annoying.

Anyway 350, is that .75 drop a noticeable difference? I might go with that....what'd you end up paying?

I believe I paid $500 something for the Koni's on sale and used my stock springs. The tire is even with the fender in the rear, I wish the front was just a little lower, but it matches the factory rake. I have wheel spacers so it sits flush. The good thing about the Koni's is that you can move the spring cup, so that's how I got the drop with factory springs so the ride isn't harsh. If you ran them with drop springs, you could move the cup up a little if the drop from the springs is too much, they don't give you the adjustability of coilovers but give you some options.

How does this setup ride? on highway? city driving? as far as comfort, body movement over bumps and such... Im considering this exact setup, then going to possiby 19 inch wheels.

No complaints, my wife thinks it's a little harsh but she also thought the stock shocks were harsh, her car is a marshmallow ride Impala so it's not a fair comparison. Almost no body movement, I didn't have very much body roll to start with. My only other suspension mod is a stock MT rear sway bar which I believe is 2mm thicker. This winter was really harsh so the roads are beyond fucked but it's still comfortable enough. Smooth on the highway and no drama changing lanes quickly.

H&R Sports Springs give you a nice, modest drop for a fraction of the price of coils.

How much of a drop can you do without a camber kit and still remain within factory alignment specs when using coilovers?

Thanks Larry-I'm not sure about the exact amount of the drop. Over time it continues to drop until it settles in.

As for the ride, not much different between the Type S and the H&R's.
