I'm looking to get a set of coilovers and although the choices are limited, all seem to have conflicting opinions, which makes it impossible to make an informed decision.

Quality and longevity wise, I don't know how these are, but money wise, they seem to be the best bang for your buck.

So what's the word on these so far?
There are dozens of these already in the field. We've had a lot of positive reviews after we got over the initial top plate issue (wrong bolt pattern on one side).

These are adjustable (damping and ride height), fully threaded, and a monotube construction. You can also choose your own spring rate. It doesn't get much better for the price. And they are on sale for $850.

^^^That can't be right...
did you mess with the preload? Did you full understand how to use the shock bodies to change ride height?
Don't mean that as an insult but my first go with these types of coils...I didn't understand them and had a hard time setting the height.

You probably shouldn't automatically assume that it's the coilover's fault you can't go any lower considering there are several other AZ members here who are much lower with this setup (including myself). If you truly have the street sport spring rates and your height is the same as callahan's, then you have not lowered them all the way.

^^^ I agree with the above 2 posts....

I think in attempt to lower the height you have have tightened the preload and hence reduced spring travel....i would measure your preload and bring it to the specified length....

these will drop a tad bit lower than the Tein Basics....

Not insulting at all but yes I do understand, all the full coilovers I ever had the shock body screws into the shock mount to adjust the height. I left the preload as is out of the box.

I know there are lower members, and the reason I bought the coilovers was cause of your car, how low it sits . Before the install I made sure I screwed the shock into the bottom mount until it bottomed out, and I had planed to take a picture of how low they would go and expecting to raise it up to a reasonable height to daily.
How much do they settle down? how long before they fully settle?

@johnny......not slam just lower. I want to try to keep the feel of stock ride as much as possible. So im gonna try these in the street/comfort to close the wheel gap.
@swoosh...i saw those. I want the street/comforts...he wanta 750. So for 100 more i could get the ones i want and the warranty.

Any suggestions on another brand that will give me what im looking for im all ears. Otherwise im gonna try street/comfort

I think the group buy ended a while ago, but xlr8 does/did have them on sale. I bought them a week ago. Same price as the group buy, but had to pay shipping. GB included shipping. Can't wait I get them and put them on. Hopefully doesn't throw alignment too out of whack.

Nothing drastic. I just want to close some of the wheel gap. Thinking like 1" rear, 1.2" or so front. See how that looks and go from there. Can't go too low cause where I live it constantly floods really bad

about warranty, talk to Josh and see if he can help with the warranty....his customer service is awesome....

i dont think there is a huge different between the street/comfort and the street/sport....now if he had the track/race, i would advise you to go with the XLR8 route....i like saving $$$ and this seems like one of those deals

Those are my goals exactly. So, I also ordered the street/comfort. I don't know how long they take to ship, but hopefully they're here by this weekend so I can install them. Otherwise it will be about a month before I'll get a chance to. But I'll def keep you posted.

I measured the preload both are set at exactly 7in, and from the very bottom of the middle collar to the very top of the bottom collar is just shy of 1 3/8in.

Your preload is correct. Mine is at 180mm (~7") also. My visible threads are closer to 3/4" though. Post some pics of your car when you can.

I'm hoping to install these this weekend, if they arrive by then.
I assume it's easier to set the hight before you install them. Anyone know how the height with the Coilovers fully raised compared to stock height? Then I could just lower the Coilovers accordingly for the intended height.
I'm sure I'll have to make adjustments once the car is back on the ground, but I figure the less adjustments the better.
Is this possible, or just foolish?

Once you remove your existing shock assembly, measure the total length. Then simply adjust the ISC assemblies to the new length you want them to be. This isn't an exact science because the new spring rates on the ISC's will be different, but it's a good starting point.

I have these on my 06 Accord with 1/2 finger gap front and back. I got the 12/8 spring rates. These ride pretty good, even on stiff setting. So far no complaints here after 10,000 miles on these.

I ordered these ISC coilover last week and went to install the coilovers today and thinking that the issue with the top plate was resolved from the manufacturing side...wrong.

Apparently they shipped mine with one side flipped upside down like the rest from the group buy. I am pretty upset that nothing was changed from the manufacturing side.

Anybody else ordered these coilover as of late with the same issue? Or am I just unlucky?

Also there was another issue with the rear strut lower joint. The bottom joint width was shorter than the OEM causing a gap. See image below. We were able to compensate the gap with 4 washers, two on each side. I have not heard of this issue from previous members from the group buy. Was it only me?

I emailed XLR8 and hoping to hear from them tomorrow if not Monday.

The tops are supposed to have the same pattern, not opposite.

Even if the fork doesn't pinch, its not the biggest deal if you don't put spacers or washers in there of some sort to fill in the rest of the gap. I rode around with mine not totally pinched for some time, despite it was as tight as I could get it. I have since added 1 washer but only for piece of mind just in case the shock actually did move along the bolt and I couldn't feel it.

I spoke to Kasshern earlier via email. That was our fault. We forgot to swap the new top hat before the package left. We are already in process of sending you another one.

All new shipments are shipping with the new top hats. This was a coilover set we had in stock that we had not changed the top hat on. These are a direct fit and you will be able to bolt them on.

Recently ordered a pair with excitement to reduce the wheel gap in addition to better handling.. I installed these and visually these impressed and even when driving however during some road imperfections these clunk pretty hard. Rechecked the obvious parts and still no improvement. Also my dampening adjustment doesn't click letting me know where I am at. I've read other reviews that these click. Mine doesn't.. Wondering if i rcvd a bad batch or early problematic version..
Plan on givin Josh a call on Monday about these to see wait we can do..

Are these gonna go on sale again? Not really trying to pay 895+shipping?
