$895 is the sale price. $955 is the usual sale price. So it's already $60 cheaper than usual.

Here's some pics from last summer. I love them.. Full stiff is too harsh, full soft makes them feel like a boat, so in between is something that everyone should find good.

I bought these coilover back in September 2012 and I find it very harsh going over uneven roads or sharp bumps. I hear a loud bang/thump every time I hit those sharp bumps. Anyone else experience such noise?

I contacted Tim from XLR8 and he said I needed new shafts. He tried to send me new front shafts, but when I got the shipment I was only given one shaft. I was very disappointment after waiting 2 months for it back in December 2012. Today, I'm still trying to get the other half the the shafts that I was suppose to get, but Tim no longer answers my email.

Spring is just around the corner and I would like to fix this problem with these coilover. I had to deal with the harsh bang noise all winter long. I'm really frustrated that I have deal with this for so long.

I think this is similar to what I'm experiencing. I bought the Street Comfort if that matters. I find it sometimes bouncing upfront when driving over wavy road condition, maybe the spring is too soft? I'm trying to get new shafts and replace it to see if that helps my issue with the loud banging noise from the front suspensions. My rear suspensions does not make this loud bang, it just feels nice and stiff when going over the same bumps.

I also want to add that I'm not even that low with these suspension. I can still fit two fingers between the gap.

I haven't heard of this but what I have found is that many people don't tighten the main nut at the top of the strut when installing the coilovers. This can sometimes loosen up over time. So make sure to check that main nut. That could be causing a noise in the front end.

Also please email me at sales@excelerateperformance.com so we can help you with the other shaft. Tim is from ISC but we can help you out.

Are you implying that you can't adjust them any lower, or were you just stating that you aren't low? I'm this low and I could go lower (street sport spring rates):

If you aren't this low, then you should keep trying.

Very nice drop. I was stating that I wasn't low regarding the noise that I'm experiencing. I do not want to go any lower (personal preference). You have no problems going over sharp bumps? No loud bang coming from your front struts?

Thanks, I finally got a reply from Tim and he should be sending me the shaft soon.

I experience the "clunk" when I hit big dips in the road from being this low, but it has nothing to do with the shafts. It's the upper control arms smacking against the shock towers. The only way to remedy this is to 1. raise the car up, or 2. cut holes in the shock towers to give the UCA's extra clearance when hitting bumps/dips in the road.

Obviously, bad shafts can cause the clunk also. It's hard to know unless you have the coilover off the car and can test the shaft itself. However, if you're clunking on minor bumps all the time and you aren't that low, then it's probably the shafts.

The noise that I hear is definitely not a clunk, but an in your face bang type of noise. That's the only best way I can describe it. I will update my issue as soon as I get my replacement parts from ISC.

I received my ISC coilover past Friday. I finished installing them on yesterday, I like the say they feel but I do hear some "clunk" in my front. I will have to go back and check the upper control arms and the strut nut to make sure its tight enough. I will upload pictures of my drop later today.

Check the very top bolt in the engine bay. When that bolt is too loose, you will get a clunking sound even over the smallest of bumps. 9/10 times, that is what is causing a clunking sound.

Also anytime you lower or raise the vehicle always check that bolt, it may comes loose as you spin the shock body. Well that has been my experience anyway.

Also check the nuts where the rebound adjustment is done on the top of the shock. Mine on the passenger side were loose. Tightened them down and no more noise.

Thanks Machine & H23Accord, I went back and revised the front struts, the front driver side rebound adjusting nut was loose. I also noticed that the stock strut bar its seating right on top of the adjust dampering valve, I'm ordering a new strut bar tomorrow and that will fix my problem.

Glad to hear it fixed your problem. I recommend driving it a couple hundred miles and then going back and retightening things as i did find that going over the bolts a second time did make a difference. As far as alternatives for the stock bar, I am currently running the Fastline Performance bar which I preferred for its one-piece design. I think the only other option is the RV-6 bar or modifying your stock bar by cutting a hole to fit over the adjustment knobs.

I really like that ISC coilover and the more I drive the car the more I like it and I know i will be in love with this coilover eventually. I had really bad stock strut so this are just perfect and had change the whole car dynamic.

I just bought a used set from a member on here with 8k miles on them (as im told). I have the car at 1 1/2 fringer gap and 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers. The settings on them are at 16 clicks right now in the middle of hard/soft. Im riding slightly rough but when i hit ANY bump at ANY speed even when im going 5mph and I hit cracks in the pavement where the road surface is slightly higher/lower the front has a "BANG!" This is no good! I will check the nuts, I instslled them myself and I know all my bolts are tight but maybe the top nut on the coil itself is loose. I hope this fixes this noise!

It's more than likely your top nut, from what i was told some of them didn't come fully tightened which is what caused my issue. You will need to tighten that up and re adjust the collars

Try the suggested tips, I'm in the same setting as you as far of 16 clicks. I did found my top nut loose and it all good now on the front, I don't hear anything on the back one but I will do the same as I did with the front to make sure everything its tighten properly

Hi guys,

I finally got around to install the new front shafts that I ordered. After removing the old shafts and inspecting them, they seem to be normal. We still went ahead and replaced them, but it made no difference. We further investigated the cause of the bang noise and the technician pointed out that the springs on the front are too soft and it is being fully compressed when the car is on the ground.
See picture below.

So basically, because the spring is too soft, it leaves no room for the springs to move and that is why it's always bottoming out when I hit a bump on the road. Does this make sense to you guys?

I order the Street Comfort, and this could be the result of the spring being too soft.

Can you guys check your springs if you can and see if it looks anywhere near like mine? This is when the car is on the ground.

Thanks,
