read up on this.. it really depends on how much drop you are going for, rule of thumb on most of us here is 2" drop il get a camber kit.

Fitment on 2007 Base TL

Hi all,

Longtime lurker.....saw some rims for sale online locally and would like to get a second set so I can have a dedicated winter set. I am not too familiar with wheels/tire fitment, so any help would be appreciated. I have a 2007 Base TL, completely stock.

Wheel Make/Model: Drag DR37
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x8.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +40mm
PCD (?): 5/120
Bore (?): 72.56 mm

Tire Make/Model: Michelin Pilot HX MXM4
Width/Sidewall-Diameter (***/**-**): 245/45R17

The person had them on their 2009 TL which makes me think they won't fit, but it is a good deal and wanted to confirm whether they would fit or not.

Thanks!

Hey everyone! Think this is an awesome thread! Here is what I have in mind and I am open for any suggestions (not set in stone!)

Wheel Make/Model: WORK Gnosis HS203 (might switch to the new CV202 - It's growing on me)
Size: 19x8.5
Offset: +30 (they can adjust to pretty much any offset you request, so this is one of the bits of info I am interested in suggestions the most)

CAR
07 TL-S (Auto)
Currently on stock suspension but interested in dropping it slightly (1/2 to 1 inch, nothing crazy as I dont want to destroy the ride quality)

TIRES
Looking to keep somewhat of a beefy tire on the wheels... looking for at least a 235/40
The car is my daily, so it sees quite a bit of wet roads here in florida, so would like to have a all-season tire. As much as I enjoy "spirited driving", the car is an automatic haha... and I never really put it through much stress.
The only other thing I would have for input is a tire that is still pretty quiet.

Thanks for your help guys!

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get the MRR GT1 19x8.5 (5x4.5/114.3) 35 offset all the way around with toyo proxes tires 245/40/19.

I have an automatic 2008 Acura TL Type S with brembos and have eibach springs installed (1 inch drop).

Will this fit? Or any recommendations?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Wheel Make/Model: yoshihara dy-37c
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9

If lowered (amount): not too sure yet but i have suspension on hand though.

So my real question is will this wheel work for my 04 tl without rolling the fenders? I'm pretty sure it will clear the rears but what about the fronts? Thanks!

Hey guys!
So went to auto cross the other day and saw a girl with an Audi TT put bigger tires on her stock rim and then used spacers so they wouldnt rub. Has anyone seen this before on the TLs?

Need Help Deciding On Wheels

Wheel Make/Model: Ruff Racing 19x8.5 +35 OR 19"x8.5" 5x114.3 Axis Shine wheels +35 offset

I have a 2004 6MT with no suspension mods. No coilovers, springs, camber kit, etc. Straight stock. I was wondering if either of these wheels would fit without modification and what would be the recommended tire size to run. Any and all help/input is greatly appreciated.

I've been searching for awhile and can't find a lot of information on these. I'm visiting my brother and I found a set used with 225/40 tires that I'm looking to buy. Need a response as soon as possible as I am heading home this weekend.

Both should fit fine and you should run 245/35/19 tires.

Wheel Make/Model: Vossen CV3
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x8.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +32
If lowered (amount): Stock height
Tire Size: 245/35/19

Five Questions (all in reference to the above wheel and tire size):
1st - Will they fit my Base TL, stock height, without rubbing?

2nd - would they still fit without rubbing if I lowered it .75-1" with A-SPec suspension.

3rd - Would I need an alignment.... would I need a camber kit (if I lower it)

4th - Would I be able to run Stop Tech Big Break Kit, or EXRL8 Big Brake Kit?

5th - Anyone know if I can use the stock TPMS with the Vossen CV3?

Thanks!!!

Long shot but will these wheel specs fit my 07 TLS:

(2) 19x9.5 +25 (R-Disk)
(2) 19x10.5 +25 (O-Disk)
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3

Not dropped right not but will be ordering ISC coilovers very soon. Also, how do you guys determine what will and will not fit? Thx

Hey guys I'm looking to get done wheels and need to know if a +24 on a 18x9 5.95" backspace front will clear my brembo. Rears are 18x10 +22 6.36" backspace I want to run a 225 40 front and 235 40 rear. I don't mind camber just a bit as I'm planning to get a kit but will I have to roll? As I'm really not trying to risk fucking up my MRP type S. Any help would gladly be appreciated. My drop is unknown at the moment being stick height but I'm planning to drop about 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear.

With these specs you're going to have to roll your fenders and run negative camber.

The fronts will fit with some 225/35 stretched tires and some negative camber. Only problem you will run into is that metal tab on the fender where the fender and bumper meets. You're going to have to shave this down or else it's going to cut into your tires.

The rears will also fit with stretched 245/35 tires and negative camber (my guess is from -3 to -5 degrees depending on your drop and the look you're going for). You can run a 235/35 tire for more stretch so you can use less negative camber, but I personally feel 245/35 on a 10.5 is a safer stretch. I am just unsure if the inner part of rim will rub against the coilover if you run too much negative camber. (Check out Nitrous's post on his vs-xx when he ran a 10.5+29 in the rear: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...8&postcount=77)

Maybe someone with 19x10.5 rear wheels can comment?

I have an 07 TL Type S.

I would like to get a 2nd set of stock "TL" wheels for track days, will regular TL wheel fit over the Type-S Brembo brakes such as the stock 2004 5 star or any of the other offerings, like the 2007 TL base wheels)?

Also, I plan on running track specific tires and was thinking of going with 245/35/17, would you suggest a better size for track days?

Thanks,

Triple

Those will not fit without a spacer. You will need to run a spacer to clear the Brembos in the front.

Vossen only makes CV3 19's in 8.5 +32 and 10 +38 or +20.

If you have 9.5 +35 i'm not sure their genuine.
