Haven't heard about that happening before, but it's not too hard to replace yourself (believe you need to remove to inner fender well liner to get to it though). The OEM part is $50 on-line ($60 or so from most dealerships) and aftermarket ones are about $25.

Check your rear view mirror. Is the green light on? If not, you just blew a fuse. There is a TSB to change the original fuse from a 7 amp to a 10 amp fuse on 04 TLs. Happened to me once as well. Has not happened since I upped the fuse amperage.

Thanks for the great advice. I just had the same problem and your instructions worked perfectly.

has the weather been rather frigid lately. My fluid was frozen the past few days and gets back to normal when the weather warms up. Look into it anyways.

my mirror and washers didn't work either the other day. Changed the fuse and it was back to normal.
