Who Else's TL didnt start today?

So, i fell victim to the common "Acura Battery Quality"

i've got a company car this week, so my acura didnt move for about 20 hours(very rare, i drive all day every day)....friggin 2008...only 22k, battery cant start in cold weather...thats ridiculous...

i came home at 6pm to switch cars, the TL was dead as a noornail.. i jumped it, and its started 4 times already tonight... FYI, it was 28 degrees this morning in NY... coldest day yet

Should i have Acura give me a new battery? or should i shell out $200+ for a Braille

How can you run stock battery with a Supercharger? It doesn't make sense. S/C requires a separate "smaller" battery.

i would go Braille. i killed two batteries in less than two years so i decided to upgrade. it costs $$, but well worth it in my opinion. we have had some cold mornings here for the past few weeks and it has started up with no problems.

It's an acura battery genius, smaller in size that is made for that pupose. It's a 51r battery. So dont come up with a stupid ass remark for no reason....

Mine died at 15,500 miles. So I went to Acura and they gave me a free one.

You said "stock", if you had said a new smaller battery with 51R, I would be ok with it
I have a 51R from interstate. Say, lately, since you live in the same state as me. Do you find your TL cranks longer than usual lately? Mine cranks weird, it starts up a bit longer than usual, and funny sometimes while it starts, it locks up my doors hahaha....

yeah i got a blower too.

I noticed my starter slow down with this cold ass long island weather. It definitely cranks alot weaker than during warmer months. I'm scared for the rest of winter....

I have been having issue with my battery also, and I have around the same mileage as you do. I am going to be going in to get a new one from acura.

Mine died at 24K and the dealer replaced it. It was due to the hot weather they said and was pretty common. They replaced it with something much better.

My friends just died at 50K and they replaced his as well.

so its obvious from this thread, and MANY other threads, that the Acura battery sucks....

My main concern is, getting stranded somewhere with a dead battery. I never used to keep cables in my car, but ive got a set on me now.... I just dont wanna be stuck in the cold ass weather, waiting for somebody to come jump me

Brailles are nice, but around $220+

What are thoughts on Optima RedTop ? I only have a 900.1 Amp, so nothing to wild

i just put a new optima redtop in my jeep a few weeks ago, and this morning started with NO problems at all, and no hesitation. im going to put a new optima battery in my acura but im still undecided between the yellow/red top. my system isnt crazy at all so im probably going with the red cause of the CCA(720) and CA(910) as opposed to the yellow which is 650 CCA and 810 CA
