VSA lights on an check engine light

Every so often (not all the time) my VSA and check engine light go on when I am just driving normally. I turn the car off and back on and the light resets and may not happen again. Any odeas? Can the sensor be bad?

autozone and/or pepboys can hook up a computer to the car and see a code which sets off the Check Engine light. Using the code information can be gathered as to what the problem is.

the codes will be something like P0404 as example of type of code structure,
but dont freak- they are clues,,, not diagnosis

The issue has not happened in 4-5 days... WEIRD!! I don't get it. How can I bring it to get fixed if the lights reset themselves when the codes clear? Will they stay in memory?

you have to wait until the check engine light is on... thats the only way the computer will see that there is a problem, i would drive to the dealer or your local autozone/pep boys, etc, as soon as the light comes on and let them check it b4 u turn the car off
