Thud feeling/noise under my left foot...
Hey guys!
So I got this weird thud noise coming from the underbelly of my beast (my car, not my junk.) It's directly under my left foot and happens when breaking hard and sometimes while cornering. I feel it in my foot and a slight thud sound. I should clarify that I drive with my left leg bent at the knee, and my foot placed just to the left of the 'TL' on the floor mat.
Wondering if this is some sort of control arm that attaches to the body down there? Any ideas? Been getting murdered at work, haven't had time to Jack the car up and take a look.
Thanks

Going to try and do that tonight if i get home at a reasonable time, I'll let you guys know what I find.
It actually reminds me of when I drop my wallet on the floor and I slides around and bangs Into my heel when I brake.

Ball joint perhaps? I jacked the car up and the wheel seems sturdy and I couldn't see anything that looked broken, I'm stumped.

Pull the wheel off dude and grab a flashlight. Suspension problems are usually easy to find with a simple inspection. Try moving stuff with your hands to see if you can find something loose down there. It might be a ball joint, might be a sway bar link. Did you notice if it happens only when you turn right and not left? During acceleration or braking? Try to imagine the position of the suspension components in the conditions where you hear the clunk, that might help you troubleshoot.

As I drive, I am figuring better ways to describe this noise. It sounds like a seized bolt becoming unseized, but also accompanied by a thud that I can feel on the floor. Super weird...
