Sun Visor Rattle

This is my first rattle after owning my car 3 years and it's so minor I shouldn't complain...but I will. The sun visor on the driver's side rattles like mad when it's in the down position. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Gotta say other than this I haven't had any other complaints about this car (that's because I changed my tires). I love my TL!

Will it rattle if you hold the visor at the down position?

I'd say if it can be duplicated bring to the dealership and have them replace the visor.

No, if I hold it the rattle stops. I was trying to figure out if I could WD40 it or wrap some duct tape around it somewhere but I can't figure out what's causing it to vibrate.

Is the visor bar inside the clip when the visor is down and rattling? If not, just push the visor bar in so it's held by the clip. Otherwise, the visor bar will click against the outside of the clip and make a horrible rattling sound that sounds like it comes from the dash or console (had that happen to me twice).
Otherwise, 1) get a replaced visor under warranty or 2) wrap a small amount of clear tape around the bar so that it is snug in the clip.

My 2005 TL is in the shop right now awaiting new visor clips for this problem. I hope that will fix it because I am tired of pressing on them to stop the noise. I know some here have said the whole visor has been replaced to fix this problem, so I will find out over the next couple of days if just replacing the clips will work.

Thanks Will Y., next time I'm in the garage I'll check the clips.
