2006 automatic transmission. I've noticed over the winter that when I backout of the driveway in the morning or out of my parking stall at the end of the work day, that when I put the transmission into forward, I feel two engagements. The first is quit gentle and the second is firmer. I found that if I backup, shift into drive and step on the gas, the motor would rev and not engage until the second firmer shift. I've learnt to just wait until the second shift before stepping on the gas. It seems to only do this when the motor/trans is cold (below freezing). I made an appointment to have Acura check this out but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their automatics over the winter?
