Starter not cranking
Hey guys
Just having a little trouble with my TL.
I tried starting the car but for some reason, the starter doesn't crank but you can hear electrical noises outside the car and the only thing I observe is the DRL stay on(as usual on canadian tl after startup), but the interior lighting such as the map lights flicker when I hold the key to try to crank the starter.
The battery is brand new oem one purchased about a month ago, so that is probably out of the question.
I'd like my car to startup lol thanks!

Make sure the terminals are tight. Also just because you have an OEM battery doesnt mean anything. From what I have read on here, OEM batteries are the worst and that is why MANY people go aftermarket.

It's strange because the Starter doesn't crank, but everything has good power still.
It shouldn't be my battery.
Sure, there are peoples Oem battery dying in like 5 months, but I only replied mine a few weeks ago...
I will check the connections.
Thanks guys

Here's a video showing what's wrong.

Video #2: Interior map light dimming when my car is in "on" position, and me just rolling up my window. Notice how the light dims when I push on the button (you can hear clicks in the video).

If it is indeed my battery, I'm expecting to get a no charge replacement from my Acura dealer =)

If that doesn't work, try jumping it and go to autoparts store and get battery tested.
Could also be your starter. A fair amount of 04 starters are starting to fail....

Yeah, remove and clean the connections, even if they look good. Then re-tighten them (make sure you have navi/radio codes).

I will clean them, and reconnect them.
Then I'll jump the car and see if it will work.
I hope you saw the videos above to help you assist me.
I replaced my 04 starter already last year =(

I bet its the negative connection either at the battery or the other end. The small draw electrical will work but the starter is a big draw and needs a good ground.
BTW I have an 06 still on the OEM battery ...

Could it be my accord fog wiring connections, or is it strictly just the terminal connection?
Thanks!
Anywho, I'll try to clean the connectors to see.
Thanks for the suggestions guys and I will try it all, as it is raining right now (you can see in my vids).

You're the best man.

It could be! Maybe it's because I wired my accord fogs ground to the ground the negative wire goes to?

The fogs shouldn't affect it even if you used the same bolt for ground.
Sounds like you have starter problems. If you can get at it check for constant power on the heavy line going into the solenoid. And also check the light wire going to the small terminal for power during cranking. Could be it... its relay controlled by the PCM
