Replacing climate control bulbs

I have a burnt out bulb on the fan speed buttons next to the navi screen and need to replace them.

I read through the FAQs but couldnt find a how to. Does anyone have a link to one?

for those thave have changed the bulbs, is it possible to get to it by simpily removing the 2 silver trim peices? is there anything else i will need to remove? thanks!

I am having the same issue. I hope there is a DIY out there somewhere. I'm still new to this site and haven't completely mastered the search function yet. I do know however that it is going to take more than removing the 2 silver trim pieces. I have done that already and know there isn't access to the bulbs.

Look for Section G-100 on replacing all dash lights with LEDs. You can use the instructions there to replace your bulbs with either OEM or LED.
Also look for the videos on removing your dash. The short answer is that it requires some teardown of the dash to get the radio/HVAC unit out. The bulbs are a simple replacement once you get it out.

I went through section G-100 and found how to tear the dash apart but there wasn't a specific instruction on replacing the bulbs for the buttons next to the nav screen. I'm sure I could figure that much out though once I get the unit out. My only question at this point is where do I get the replacement bulbs? Is this something the dealer would sell? If so, I'm sure they are much more expensive than they need to be so I was hoping there was some other place to buy from.

I know this is an old thread but I wasn't able to find the answer to if you can remove the climate controls with only taking the top vents and silver trim pieces off?

I am only looking to replace the lights behind the climate control buttons on each side.

You have to pull the screen out to get to the bulbs in the rear.

mine are out too. tried looking for the part but its all part of the navi screen. Anyone know what bulbs to use? The ones that are not light up are the red and blue buttons for the temperature along with the button that says auto.

The correct part number for the bulbs: 80629-S04-003. should replace all 5 while you are in there...

If you want the OEM look, it looks like there are 3 different bulb types in the center console area.

Have a look at this diagram.

OEM Acura TL 2005 CENTER MODULE parts

Personally, I don't think I want to replace mine with LED. I'm happy with the looks of the OEM bulbs. I've had more and more go out over the last few years, and its finally getting a little dark on my dash, so I think I'll replace them all.
