PO137? 02 sensor circuit low voltage?

Hi everyone, I have a check engine light that came on soon after i installed pcd.
I checked the code today and it says

PO137- Powertrain. 02 SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE (bank 1 sensor 2)

I tried looking around, but it seems that this code is not so common.?(I have defoulers; have not tried adjusting them.)

Im not to familiar. What are you referring to when you say "pcd"?

You might have to check the wiring to the oxygen sensor to make sure there is proper voltage going to the sensor.

Pcd- pred cat deletes

Today I looked behind engine and could faintly see that the wiring for the sensor must have gotten burned by a hot component. I just hope I won't have to take out the whole precat to take off sensor.

Would it be a bad idea to solder wires back together? Or buy a new sensor. Anyone?

bank 1 sensor 2 is the oxygen sensor on the downstream side. I don't think you would be able to see the wiring for that o2 sensor unless your under the car.

The o2 sensor you saw was probably sensor 1 which is upstream.

i believe a GOOD solder will give a wire its original strength back. you will need to remove the sensor to do a proper soldering job though. should be removable with a wrench

You can also get some heat resistant wire loom to go around it just to be safe. I didnt get any CELs when I put my PCDs in, if its the downstream O2 sensor, which it sounds like it is- you might want to just try to adjust the defouler. I have mine tilted straight up at a 90 degree angle towards the top of the PCDs, if that makes sense.

Ill go ahead and remove the precat and try soldering, and reinstall and take my time making sure wires are clear of hot metal. Can a bad secondary o2 sensor cause any problems? If so ill try to get it fixed this weekend, otherwise im going to wait untill december when i have more free time.

I do not believe a faulty downstream sensor will cause any problems. The downstream sensors are mainly there to monitor catalyst efficiency. It doesn't play a huge role like the upstream does when it comes to fuel trim
