Overfilled oil and ATF

I accidentally overfilled by oil since I dumped the whole gallon jug basically. I also overfilled the ATF during my 1x3.

Is this bad for the car in the long run? I heard that overfilling the oil can cause for messed up and leaking engine seals later on. Any consequences for overfilling the atf??

The car takes more than 1 gallon of oil 4.5 quarts to be exact. As far as ATF just drain some from the drain plug.

I've always overfilled mine by 1/2 quart on the oil and about 1/2 quart on the trans. Nothing to worry about if you're within this range.

i would probably say i'm a quart over on ATF since only 2 quarts of ATF came out since I didn't lower the car when it was draining. As for the oil, I dumped in the 5L jug of Pennzoil platinum so I'm about .5qt over. It pretty much fills up the whole rectangular area on the oil dipstick.

Also, any downsides of overfilling the ATF?

It sounds like you're fine. I run mine just past the full mark on both.
