Price for oil pump, timing belt, water pump

Good thing I did not replace timing belt early as I just learned that oil pump is leaking and needs to be replaced along with the pan. Was told it would save some labor cost to do everything at once but my indy is quoting $1550 for the entire job including water pump & serpentine belt.

Sticker shock - ack! - but the car does have 108k and otherwise running well.

It's usually the seal between the pump and the engine block that leaks. This does require removal of the oil pan, and the timing belt, so it's good to know about it now, rather than after you've already done the timing belt. It sounds a little high to me, price wise, but I don't know your location, or the exact make and model of your car. As crazy as it sounds, try an acura or honda dealer for comparison. I run a small independent shop, and our local honda dealer runs specials on timing belt jobs that beat my prices. The biggest thing is to make sure ALL the pieces get changed. This includes any idler pulleys, tensioner pulleys, hydraulic tensioner, water pump, drive belt(s), etc.

Sounds like a fair price, and it's way cheaper than a new car!!!!!!!
