142k maintenance

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 RDX with 142k miles. Oil life indicator now is at 40%. I want to change oil right now due to his age (over 1 year). What maintenace should I do? A,B,1,2,3,4,5,6?

thanks for help

No clue, but if you're not sure just change the oil now and don't reset the maintenance minder - in another couple thousand miles or so it'll tell you what else to do. If you have no records of prior maintenance at all, inspect and/or replace all the usual suspects - brakes, spark plugs, all fluids, serpent belt, etc.

I think I read in the manual that if you reset the maintenance minder before the 15% message appears, it will also display what service(s) it would have called for. But double check the manual so you don't mess up the interval. I routinely go more than 1 year between oil changes because I don't put that many miles on my RDX. I personally would just wait until it got to 15%.

^the manual states to change when at 15% or lower or one year.

your bad advice contradicts your good advice!

if I had the 2007 RDX, I would do regular maitenance.

at 142k miles, I would change out all the fluids....coolant, oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid (if applicable).

then I would check brake pads and rotors. inspecting them to see how much life they have left, or if they are done, install new ones....

check/inspect tires for any ununiformed/irregular wear.

check/inspect motor mounts, all mounts in general, including suspension bushings.
