Moonroof, door locks, and TPMS issues.
Moonroof, door locks, and TPMS issues.
I have an 07 RDX Tech. Over the last 2 weeks, I've had several issues surface and need some advice. It started with my passenger door and hatch not unlocking with my keyless entry. Sometimes it works, others it won't. Also with this, if you press the unlock on the keyless numerous times, it will eventually unlock everything. Side issue with this, how do you open the rear hatch if it won't unlock? Is there an emergency release or remote button anywhere? I haven't noticed anything. I haul a bike back there quite often, and wouldn't be able to get it out through the doors. Over the same weekend this began, I had the TPMS warning a couple times. The light will stay on for 10-15 min, then go out. I'm having no tire pressure issues. Now 2 days ago, I've noticed my moonroof doesn't close all the way. I have feathered the switch to move the roof into the closed position, but just pressing the button doesn't do it. Are these coincidental issues, or possibly related? Any suggestions for a fix? Thanks!
Just to share some general knowledge:
Check the battery in your key fob. I've found the point n shoot test boards at Autozone worked pretty decent in indicating if a fob battery is dead.
Other's have said TPMS sensor batteries have a life span of +/- 5 yrs. Not sure how legit this is as mine are past that mark and have had no issues.
Check your moonroof for anything blocking the tracks. May be debris, may just need some more grease from usage.
