my OEM battery has lasted me 7 years....am a happy camper

 

I bought our 08 TL, a Certified used car with 19.5K miles, in September. When I checked it over, I found that I had a brand new Acura battery, dated Sept, 2012. Car Fax and Certified Check List both didn't show that the battery had been replaced. When the service manager went into their computer records, lo and behold, the battery had been replaced! Why it didn't show up on Car Fax or Certification Check List, no one seems to know. But, I have a brand new battery. Hy

 

^^^ carfax goes off police report.....if your in an accident and no police report, guess what ??? it wont show up on the carfax....

been there, done that....

many dealerships report the service to carfax so you see service records but i doubt thats everything you see.....you know what i mean ?

swoosh...you're one of the very few, it seems, that has had any type of longevity with OEM batteries. the two i had only lasted about 3 years a piece. others have had about 4 yrs, some even less than 2 yrs.

quality control issue perhaps?

 

Just installed my DieHard Platinum last night. My Optima has been weak for 2 years now but lately its been scaring me and I was even having problems with my audio due to low voltage. Maybe I got used to the weak Optima but this thing turns over exceptionally fast. I can't review it yet since I've only owned it for 12hrs but this morning when I was still half asleep it caught me off guard by the difference in cranking speed.

Just like last time, the range on my remote has gone up considerably. With the Optima it only lasted a couple days, hopefully it will stay this way this time.
