My passenger front door lock is not working~!!
Hi guys,
Can you guys help me to fix my front passenger door lock please? I currently own a 2004 Acura TL Automatic. Somehow it does not working anymore. It simply does not respond to Acura key-less entry remote so I have to manually open and close the door.
Can you guys help me out? I do not want to go to dealership to fix it. They are probably going to over charge me... LOL
Thanks again,
John

Well it does work when I either unlock or lock the vehicle manually for the front passenger door. I do not recognize what noise you are talking about. I believe it does not making any weird noise when I hit the button of a remote. I better check it tomorrow morning.
Thanks by the way

sounds like your actuator bro. They tend to go out on hondas. You can buy the part from the dealer for about $35 and DIY. Its not that bad but you are gonna have to get a little dirty. I posted a DIY, with pics but moved the folders around on photobucket so the pics are no longer there. If you plan on doing this yourself send me a pm and i'll repost it with the pix. for now here's the one i originally did.

I'm having a similar problem. My keyless entry fob is working fine, but my driver lock is not locking when i press lock on the fob. It also doesn't lock when I press the lock button on the door inside the car. I have to manually push it down for the door to lock. I've ben reading other posts, and people with similar problems have gone to the dealership and had the actuator replaced only to find that it worked for a week and then went back to the old ways. Someone mentioned something about a... oh hell I don't know what it was. It sounded complex. I think complex was part of the part name... Ok I found it. Multiplex Integrated Control Unit. That's what someone said it probably was since all these other people went the actuator route only to spend the money and not fix the problem.
hey guys...so i noticed today that when i was locking my car from my keyfob that the passenger door lock wasnt locking or unlocking. all other doors were working fine. i got inside the car and tried from the lock button on the door and the same thing again. the knob is actually trying to move up/down but it is almost stuck. i can move it with my hand but it wont work when pushing the buttons...what do you think? is the actuator going bad? it is just caught? i have never noticed it until today but i dont really ever pay attention to the passenger door...i am glad nothing has been taken considering my passenger door lock could have been unlocked for a long time! any thoughts would be appreciated!

take the door panel off and move the vapor barrier out of the way to see what's going on.
2 screws behind the small cover where the door handle is, one at the rubber stop at the edge of the door, and one underneath the arm rest, right above the tilting compartment door area. Use a razor to cut through the adhesive (dont damage the barrier itself)

Anyone have any info on this "Multiplex Integrated Control Unit"? Having a similar issue and want to know if there are anything to look for to determine whether this unit is causing the issue or the actuator.
I have a problem with my MICU. I have not fixed it yet because the fix is approximately ~$700. The MICU is built into the under dash fusebox and to determine if this unit is causing the problem you need a honda scan tool.
My problem is that in cold/wet weather my autolocks dont work and I need to lock each door manually. Then I can use the remote fob to get the beep. There was a few nice days with 70 degree weather where my autolock worked. Not working at the moment
