B Service Won't Start

Hey I had the B Service light on for a while and recklessly did not get a oil change when I was suppose to. :-(

Randomly my car was off and when I tried to turn it back on it would not work. Everything is on and working perfectly except for when I turn the key it won't turn on. I am hoping its not a starter problem and it's just my car telling me I need a oil change and it won't let me turn it on because it doesn't want me to wreck it.

Please tell me that is the case.. I'm very worried and don't know what to do very car nooby.

Acura TL 2005 ~ 36K Miles

Just tapped on the starter with a wrench and it turned on.

Meaning I have to buy a new starter I assume? Which seems to be quite pricey

Can anybody confirm for me so I can have some closure >___<

yup, new starter, they're not too expensive, you can DIY for 100$, very simple instructions. Just search for it.

Just call around different shops and ask them how much to replace a starter. Don't worry too much bro, a starter is nothing. What's a few hundred dollars when you're driving an Acura TL? If you want a car with cheap parts get a Cavalier or a Ford Escort.

Starter is easy! Search for a DIY , took me 30+/- Minutes for the job itself on a V6 Accord, took some extra time to clean up the area as well. Make sure you match up the parts if you buy A/M.
