Hello, my dad have a 2001 MDX and I couldn't get the tailgate to open. There was signal when I pressed the lock/unlock on the remote and I could hear it too, but when I pressed the pull lever from outside nothing work. So I suspect it was the pull lever didn't catch the latch to open the tailgate. I found a small trim piece inside that I removed and I saw all of the lock mechanisms. How do I open the tailgate through this little hole? Have anyone experienced this problem yet and how do you fix it!? Thank you.
