Loud chirping noise is finally gone!!!!!

I know a lot of people have been having an issue with a loud chirping noise coming from the drive belt side of the motor. For 6 months I kept gettiong the run around saying it's the fan belt ect. Finally I went to another dealer in jersey (turnersville acura) and the tech knew exactly what the sound was and had a fix for it in about 15min, it was just a simple heat shield... wow I never knew it could cause so much headache. thank god it's gone!!!!!

Did it sound like it was your belt before you got the problem fixed.

Intermediate drive shaft heat shield; for link to the TSB containing a diagram (IIRC), see post #7 of this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/rattling-drive-shaft-heat-shield-839129/.

Easiest way to test, remove the serpentine belt and start the car, no noise in belt area you've found the location, but if noise is still present you'll know where not to look.

This was my initial troubleshooting procedure.
Followed by placing a flat head screw driver against the shield and applying pressure to see if it quiets the noise down.
