I'm having a huge problem with my ac, the ac is acting up, only works intermittently. What I've do so far new compressor, Evap and purge system twice, change relay, new micu multiplex. Okay so Here's the weird thing, when I turn on my headlights the dash won't dim, and the headlight symbol doesn't light up. But when it dims and the headlight symbol comes on the ac will start working. Ran dtc codes. I'm thinking it's the gauge control module but is there a way to check? Please help. Willing to pay who can help me trouble shoot the problem. Thanks in advance.

 

do wipers and horn work when dash wont dim? Check if anything else doesnt work when the dash doesnt dim, radio, seat heaters, seat adjustment, mirror adjustment, or anything else that you might control from cabin. I'm asking because i've had a similar issue on my Jetta, just wanted to see if we had anything in common

 

did you do the HVAC test to see if you can get it to spit out a code on the temp display?
