You're in the wrong forum. You're looking for the 3G forum.

In this forum, the correct way to fix it would be to buy a new car.

I'm sure a mod will be by soon to move it for you.

I greatly appreciate it, unfortunately neither of those are where mine is located, I was just hoping to get some advise from someone who had already done it because I'm not sure how to remover the belt and exactly what else I need to remove aside from the tire. I do appreciate your help though.

I had to replace my alternator the other day. Its pretty simple actually, just start by removing the negative on your battery.

After that you'll need to remove your sep belt, the way to do that is to find the tensioner and with a rachet or a wrench you push it back towards the windshield that should release some tension on the belt.

With the tension released, slip the belt off where the alternator pulley is. You might need a second person to help you unless you can hold back the tensioner with one hand and slip the belt off with the other.

After you got pass that part, you'll need to undo the positive connection to the alternator which is behind the black rubber thing. Undo that bolt and undo the negative connection to the alternator. With that all done just remove the 2 bolts holding the alternator in place.

Replace with new alternator and bolt everything back up and slide the sep belt back on. Connect battery back together and you should be done.

Omg thank you so much, the only but of a video I could find for the 2005 showed them take off the tire. But other yrs were showing to do it from above the car. You're a life saver. I appreciate it!

Becareful with the tensioner if you're using a rachet and socket or just a wrench cause if you slip it could snap back at a lot of force. There's a special tool for it if you wanna look into that
