Engine replacement

Hope everyone is doing good, I’m new here, I was recommended to ask for more information over my TL type s.

I recently bought a 2008 TL Type S for $500 as a project car. I always loved these cars since I was in high school. Turns out I have bad compression in the engine.

I was told it can fit a RL 3.5 in without issue and also a 3.7?

I tried searching up some forums here but I couldn’t find the right results. If anyone could help me out with recommendations or more information I’d greatly appreciate your help.

Warped heads so we ending up using the original j35a8 type s head on the j37a1 short block.
According to this guy the 07-09 mdx J37A1 will bolt up?

How hard is it to put j37 into 3rd gen '07 TL type S - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community
