I have a 2005 Acura TL I’m having a problem with it the engine light is blinking , I’ve checked Injectors , timing belt , coils , spark plugs ,compression is good also and there all good

many ideas what it can be ?

engine light blinking = misfire

 

Does it stay on after it blinks or does it go off? If it goes off, it usually indicates that the ECU was recently reset. If it stays on then that's obviously a problem. You might consider taking it to an auto parts store and having them scan it for codes. Or getting a OBD-2 Bluetooth module with the Torque app on your phone which will tell you all the information as well.

 

A flashing MIL indicates misfires happening at a rate that could cause damage to the CATs.

Is this a 6MT?

If it flashed 5 times and then stays on right after startup, then the readiness codes aren't set.

What mods/changes have you made recently, if any?

yes its a 6 speed transmission 2005 acura tl , what do you mean when you say readiness codes arent set, what it does i start the car engine light just blinks and will stay on and it will blink hear n there , i have put my reader on it and its readin misfires and eveything checks out fine what i explained in my thread , now can it be possible my cat , is messed up ??

 

and no there arent any mods to the car its all stock

 

you will have to test!
test fuel pump.
test catalytic converters.
test the heads by having a compression and leak down test...
basically, you or a mechanic needs to test these components to find the bad one

 

I had misfires issues also. Don't drive too long with them. I waited too long and ended up with a bad pre-cat and a partially clogged main cat.

New sparkplugs and coil packs fixed my problems.
