DRL Module for '04 TL

Where can I get a Daytime Running Lights Module for my '04 TL. Hamsar does not make one for that model, and the dealership tells me I have to get a $300 Headlight module instead.
Is there an aftermarket product I could get myself and have installed?
Thanks

P.S. :- This is a US model TL

I you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I selected this module because it turns the DRLs off when you turn on the headlights. It also doesn't affect the operation of the fog lights.

DRL Question - One last time..

I finally got the part I needed, and am going to hook it up today.

Just noticed however that it seems like I will be connecting the module to hook up to the fog lights, and not the actual headlights. If this is so, could I make the modification to connect to the headlights instead, or were you using the fog lights so that the headlights wouldn't burn out as quickly?

Thanks again!

Ok Bheldson.. spent about an hour following the directions and turned the ignition and and .. nothing.. no DRL :-(

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot?

I did do one thing differently. I did not have a butt connector to connect the red & white wire to the blue wire from the module, so I used the twin wire connector to connect both wires.. something I don't think would have made of a difference.. or would it?

Let me know.

Thanks

Figured it out

I tested each of the connectors and found that the only connector I had used that came WITH the module was defective. So, I spliced and diced and voila! Daytime Running Lights.

Thanks so much, your directions were easy and very complete.

So did you end up hooking it up to the HID's like you intended or the other way? Just curious.

I have to admit.. it never crossed my mind while I was racing across town to the inspection centre (as I only got them hooked up properly 20 mins before), to see if I could get it hooked up to the HIDs.

Mebbe I'll try this weekend, but I am fairly certain that there will be some retarded law that states that the DRLs have to be a certain colour.

Oh Canada! :-)

You cannot hook it up to the HID"s It runs the lights at reduced power and I think that could damage the ballast.
