Cool Doors don't lock, car does not start.

I have an Acura TL 2004 with several problems I can't resolve.
1)For a while, the doors do not lock either with the remote or pressing the lock buttons on either driver or passenger doors in order to lock the doors, I must manually lock all 4 doors.
2)When I manually shut all 4 doors, by pressing the lever down, then click on the button on the remote, i get the beeping sound.

3)Lately, the car does not turn on. I get no cranking, but am getting juice to the battery and the battery is not dead. What could it be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

1st thing is 1st, make sure the key fob little red light turns on when pressing any of the buttons. This will indicate if the battery in the Fobs are good.

2nd thing your fobs may not be linked to your car, on the back of the fobs they tell you to hold and press lock + unlock together till you see the fob light flash which lets you know the vehicle and key fob is linked. When going into your car and as you put your key into the ignition it will say Welcome driver 1 or driver 2 this will indicate the fobs are linked.

I believe one flash is not linked and doing the proceedure again and getting 2x flashes means the key fob is linked. Incase it still doesn't work then you can manually relearn the fobs to the car. 1st turn the key "on" not engine on, then press lock, turn the key off, then turn the key to the "on" position (engine not running) then press unlock..

In simple.

Key on --- lock
key off
key on --- unlock
key off
key on --- lock (do this proceedure still you hear the doors lock or unlock keep pressing lock or unlock to assure the fob has relearned)

Now, a no start condition this is probably due to a faulty starter. Luckly for you the starter is easy to access from under the hood. If you ever hear a single "CLICK" while trying to start the car, your answer for sure is a starter. If you hear multiple clicks and fast like a machine gun then it's your battery. To test the starter you can hold the key in START position as someone hit's the starter, if the car turns over then you got your answer.

Hey, Thanks for the thoughtful reply. The remote is linked as the door unlocks with the remote, it just doesn't lock.

Also, I tested the battery and juice to the starter solenoid and they are ok. Someone told me the alarm system could be preventing the car from starting.

Sounds like the vehicle thinks a door is left open. Make sure all door ajar sensors aren't defective.

1 and 2) drivers door lock actuator has gone bad. If you look at another TL and try to lock the doors with the driver door open the locks will unlock by themselves.

3) Does the car make any sort of noise or anything? It could be the starter or starter relay. Does shaking the key around help? If yes, maybe the ignition switch.

EDIT: By the way do your memory seats and radio and other stuff work perfectly? If not, your battery might be causing a bunch of issues and I suggest you check them. I also suggest you check your fuses for the power windows and such.

Ok. I replaced the starter and shazaam, it worked.

My remaining problem are the doors not locking. They unlock, but do not lock with the remote or the door switch. I have to manually press all 4 knobs down to lock the doors.

Someone posted about the actuator, but why would this cause all 4 doors not to unlock? Does the driver side actuator control all 4 doors?

If it was an actuator your doors wouldn't lock or unlock. Actuators doesn't seem to be the issuse. A faulty door sensor sounds more like it.
