Did I get the wrong battery for my car?

Hey guys,

I just bought a yellow top optima battery for my car, but the wires seem like it is too short. It can't reach the connector by like 3 inches. Did I get the wrong battery or do I have to disconnect part of the wire harness so I can connect it?

Thanks!

Which side won't connect negative or positive? I have a yellow optima and mine fit perfectly. Also an easy upgrade is to disconnect the negative, the ground and replace with 0 gauge wire and new terminal. I am pretty sure that is the negative.

is there a spacer on the bottem of the new battery? raising it up?
or does the wire need to come around the battery different now-
or its gotten out of place during removal?

I also had the Yellow top in my TL-S. You might need to turn the battery around.

no, you have to stretch it a bit. I disconncted the plastic piece where the power comes from the fuse box. I also changed out my terminals because they wer heavily corroded being a florida car and all. Are pictures easy to post here? I could easily take a picture of mine.

Yell34 is the part I got. I was suppose to get a Yell35, probably what you are talking about, however they (kragen) don't even carry those in stock in the bay area. They said earliest I can get it is Aug 5.....LOL, so I said forget it, I'll just improvised. I do not recommend it though.

I disconnected the harness from the clip on the frame, and removed the plastic tray underneath to get it closer to the pulse.

The thing that clams down on the yellowtop doesn't really fit straight, it went in sideways...oh well.

here are some pictures..

yep...
