The recommended replacement belt for the UR Pulley is a Gates belt (Micro-V). Some belts (Goodyear Gatorback, maybe others) rub and/or slip; has something to do with the shape of the edge of the belt (or so I've read in UR Pulley threads here).

If it were me, I'd get an actual Honda OE belt or the recommended Gates belt. Actually, I did; I'm running the Gates Belt - K060840 Micro-V.

Edit:

Look like Gates now specs Belt #K060841 which is very sligtly longer (no other diffence listed at Gates).

Edit (part Deux):

FWIW, I've had the UR Stock sized Pulley with the Gates Belt (K060840) for, I guess, 3 years and 30,000 miles with no issues.

^ I absolutely agree. Belts are definitely not a place to try and save a buck. The OEM Honda belts or recommended replacements are recommended for a reason.

I agree with you and I try to get the best quality products on my car. Money is not a issue.. so if some one can shoot me a link to order the proper belt for the UR stock size light weight crank pulley.. I would really appreciate it. I also feel like the speed shop I go to screws me over with anything and everything I paid 120$ to get it installed and it sat on there lot Rom 11am to 5pm. If any one knows a shop is south Florida, broward or dade county... I thinly you would be my best friend on a serious note though I need help.

how in the fuck did you justify spending another 65 dollars for them to fix something they should have made sure was in order before it left the shop the first time?

glad you got it fixed.. but goddam.. i would have refused to give them more money.

Had the same issue after replacing my timing belt. It was just a matter of re-positioning the drive belt. Problem solved...

The belt ended slipping off on the way over to good year. I think
the belt was not put back.on properly. What I think really happened is the speed shop screwed me with the pulley so they put the belt on wrong knowing it would snap and I would end up coming back to.them to fix it . I lucked out meeting a good shop owner who hooked it up on a busy sunday... I'm happy

that's quite the assumption on your part.

very simple !!! all you need is time and patience....

For the front PCD:
Take off coolant reservoir
Take off Passenger side fan
Rest is piece of cake

For rear PCD:
Take off strut bar
Take off all the bolt and wiggle wiggle

For Jpipe, if your getting a jpipe that eliminates 3 cat the take off 3 bolts from BEHIND the 3rd cat....since you have the PreCat side of bolts taken off, remove the hanger bolts and the jpipe will drop

Replace everything PCD's first....then jpipe....

DO NOT TIGHTEN EVERTYTHING....first get all the bolts in place....the put the hanger back on....then PCD mounts to engine tightly....then the jpipe mounts to exhaust side tightly....then the PCD's mount to jpipe tightly....

This is KEY. If you tighten things up before everything is in place, you take some "play" out of the system. You need that "slack" to do the "wiggle-wiggle" getting the other parts in place.

Glad to see you got your pulley fixed. For future reference,
I used to go to Auto Mech in South Dade, its close to Culter Ridge. Havent been there in over 10 years but they always did right in my opinion. Always dealt with Kevin (Owner). Might be worth calling them if you choose to not do-it-yourself on future mods. I had also heard decent things about Japtech down there, I think they have a website and several shops spread out in Broward and Dade.

^you'll need something heavier than 1 ton jacks IMO. 2 ton is prefferable and 4 jack stands.

1 out of 10

all you have to do is pop the bolts off....you might need the O2 removal tool (autozone and advance auto parts rent if out for free).....

4 jack stands will be perfect, but i did mine on 2....whatever floats ur boat buddy....

Definetly for the cats/PCD's. The rest of the exhaust is pretty easy, access-wise.

Sorta forgot about the title. Although in my defense he didn't mention the Jpipe/PCD questions in the original post
