Having problems with my 2005. Check engine light came up and the codes are p0958 and p0816. I did the paperclip thing and the D light flashes give me the code #24. I was looking into this but I haven't found anything accurate enough to go ahead and buy the pieces needing to be replaced. Options range from replacing Part #: 35740-SEC-A82 (SWITCH ASSY., PARKING PIN & SHIF), SWITCH ASSY., sport shift solenoid, Downshift Switch Circuit, auto shift manual mode circuit high.
So any help on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

straight from the 2004 tl service manual:

 

BY your left front wheel, you will seen the 3rd and 4th pressure switches. My D light was blinking too last month. I changed those switched with brand new ones from the acura dealership and that problem went away.

 

Hi i just wanted to ask you your car had the engine light and the d blinking light when you changed the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switch and it went off at the time you changed ?

If you read the service manual, it sounds like you need to replace your transmission gear selection switch.

 

did you know whats the part number for this part?
