Car not starting

When I put the keys in, the lights turn on, but the radio does the play or anything. When I try to turn the key to ignite the car, it does make a sound or anything. Anyone know what might be wrong?

is today "tl doesnt want to start day"?!

take your battery out and have an auto parts store completely charge and test it .. report back with what you find out.

Sorry, I don't know much about cars. But I just tried to turn it on again. All it's doing is making a really fast paced clicking sound.

battery does not have enough juice. That is the starter solenoid you hear clicking. Either you have a parasitic draw that has discharged the battery to that point or your battery is not healthy enough to accept a full charge from the alternator. have autozone or someone do a charging system check to rule out the alternator, but this car goes thru batteries to the tune of about 1 every 4 years.

Just had the Acura dealership test out my battery. They said it may be my aftermarket wiring for the hid reverse lights

Holy Crap ! I m having the same exact problem this morning. I jump started it and it came back up after a while and teh car started.
The same exact issue,

On "ON" position all the lights come up but the navi screen doesnt turn on. and when you ignite, there is a fast paced clicking sound. I was scared that it might be the starter... but at 59k miles should not be a problem with the starter. Im heading out to tiresplus right now as I just bought the battery on thanksgiving with a 5 year warranty.

How about prioritizing the troubleshooting for the most common situations?

A- If there are no clicks and no electrical power to the car, one should check:
1) Battery
2) clamps, grounds & cable
3) fuses
4) ignition switch

B- If the radio/lights work, but the car does not start, one should check:
1) battery (may still be weak/dying)
2) clamps, grounds & cable (bad connection= insufficient power)
3) starter

C- If you did mods just before the no-start arose, check your effin' work first!

There is usually a dash light if the alternator is bad, and threads on bad 3G TL alternators are pretty uncommon.

starter or battery needs replacing. had the same problem with my 01 isuzu and hitting the starter with a rubber hammer (not a good idea) while starting the car would get it to start. It was a 2 man job though lol

I would guess it would be the starter but you should try to get it tested if you can
