Odd radio issue

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking for a few weeks, first time posting. Great community by the way, I've learned so much already!

So I recently bought a 2007 TL and I'm loving it so far! I seem to be having a weird problem with my radio, however. It displays "disc" every second or so when playing a CD. Changing the volume or any of the settings has a noticeable lag that's really getting annoying. The only way I could get it back to normal is by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Even so, the problem reappears after a while (sometimes an hour, sometimes days). I'm not really sure what the deal is.

Have any of you run into this issue? Hopefully I won't have to replace the whole unit.

Here is a short video of what I'm talking about.

Thanks ahead of time for any input.

Just a guess, sticky buttons? Some drink could have been spilled on it?

I don't think it's a sticky button. Thanks for the reply though.

Guess I'll just have to live with it...grrrr.

I don't subscribe to XM radio but it seems to work fine on the commercial channel. I thought the issue was fixed after replacing my alternator (not because of this) but the issue reappeared after a few days.

Replacing the battery seems to have fixed the problem.
