This has been annoyying me for some time now. I have managed to get the bumper off before without taking these screws out but not easily. Now, I'm going to paint my engine cover and this part has to come out. It seems the screws are stripped and just turn endlessly. I am ready to just rip them out and then worry about replacement after. Any suggestions? They are the two screws on either side of the bumper as shown in the pic

 

those are plastic screw..just take 2 flat head and pry them upward.

 

may be applying too much downward pressure. They are plastic screws that secure into clips, just apply counterclockwise pressure so it spins and it will come out

 

try to pry them out with a flat head screw driver, if not dont waste too much time and just pull em out and worry about replacing later.. they are only plastic screws.

 

Yeah I had the same problem mine got stripped from removing them too much, just pry them out.

 

yea who cares just break them out and replace later they are not holding much.
