2005 TL whining sound

noob her...I have an 05 TL Auto with 72k on it. Is it normal for a TL having whining noise when accelerating around 900-2500 rpm and decelerating from 1500rpm. The sound is like a muffled supercharger. has anyone experience this?

That's usually a bad sound from the tq converter.

I have this same problem on my 05 TL auto. I thought it was the inktake. I hear it most when I'm already going at a constant speed then adding a little more gas.

I noticed this same issue. I do have a CAI and 8K miles. There is another thread on this topic.

The dealer claimed it was due to the CAI. Please keep me posted on the root cause. Thanks.

No I don't have a Cold Air Intake or any engine mods. No I haven't had my timing belt changed yet. That might be the problem?
