alright so i have noticed it since i bought it but wasnt sure if it was just cause it was new and making a noise. but it now seems its getting worse. When i crank up my car and get heading down the road i then turn on my a/c. It makes a really loud click/grinding noise and then it stops. I turn it off and try again and it doesnt ever do it a second time just the first time i turn it on each time the car sits for a while. I know a/c also draws power but damn it seems when i turn it on you can just feel the car get sluggish!!!!



anyone else had this problem?

 

had mine for a couple months now and have not heard that noise. I hope you figure it out so they can fix it for ya.

 

Never had a problem with my '07, sounds like it might be the doors that open and close to chose which vents are being used. I'd call Acura asap!

 

well i turned the a/c on again and there the grinding started and quit but it sounds like its under the hood. But im having too many problems with this car, spoiler coming off one side, right rear bumper not clipped in at top, left skirt near rear tire not clipped in, the boot for the 6mt keeps falling off the gear shifter, IM PISSED about these things, even though they are minor

 

Did yu ever find out what was wrong with your a/c? I've just started to have problems with mine. Started to rattle when the compressor came on but the dealer installed a new tensioner pulley that cured that. I still have the problem of the car feeling very slugish with the a/c on plus sometimes the belt squeals when i first turn the a/c on. I've never been in a car that you can feel when the compressor engage and disengage so much.

 

A/C belt is too tight?

 

when i first turn my car on it sounds like a loud grinding thud then stops. I know it the ac because it only happens when I leave the AC on auto. That along with being sluggish! But I dont think my peformance issues are related to the ac. I am thinking they are seperate. I have to do more searching...

I need to get my car in for the AC noise. I am realling getting annoyed at the stupid little things as well. rear speaker rattling, ac noise, sluggish, radio preset buttons act funky sometimes.... pissing me off....

 

Mine makes a noise when I turn the a/c on. I don't know what to describe it as but it doesn't sound normal.

 

Wow those are some problems for a new 40k car. Go to acura and tell them to fix everything now. Your still under warrenty for everything.

Mines been in twice and I think its just normal they can't find anything wrong with it. Its just a loud power sucking compressor

 

Mine does it too. It's annoying so I don't turn the AC on until I drive for a few minutes, which seems to help. I think it's somewhat normal with old cars but...

They told me it is normal. "The 04-08 TLs have very loud compressors." That's no excuse in my book. My 16 year old integra didn't make a loud clanking sound when I turned on the AC. I guess I'm just going to have to wait for it to break after l the warranty is up.

 

Ive been waiting for 75000km but no problems just a loud compressor
