Well, something was bound to happen. I mean, I couldn't REALLY go 140k with no issues aside from normal wear & tear, right?
Well, the belt (I believe serpentine) is squealing BAD...CONSTANTLY. Here's the lowdown:
- I believe it's the serpentine belt, but I need to get a live look tomorrow
- The squeal is constant
- It is diminished only when accelerating, but to a lesser extent
- It occurs independent of the A/C on or off
- My 100k service was done at Hamilton Honda at about 98k
- I'm at 137k now
Are there any recommendations from my fellow 'ziners?

Check out my thread:

And more specifically, listen to the video I posted and tell me if it sounds similar to what you're hearing.
Was the squealing similar? I replaced my serpentine belt and it was gone.

you could spray a little ( deff make sure its a little) of w.d 40 on the belt while running and see if it brings the squeaking down some and if so then deff your serp belt. also take your belt off when engine is off and check your pulleys and make sure they all free spin (minus your crank pulley)

Best way is likely to take the belt off and see if all the pulleys are spinning well.
I had the same problem, so annoying. New serp belt solved it. A few months later it started doing the same thing on cold starts and after it rained out. I got a new tensioner and idler pulley from orileys and it has been fine since, that was about 6 months ago.

i think i have the same problem and i am near 140k too. i changed my tensioner pulley but not the idler, anf the serp belt, problem reamained, i just did the p.s. pump seal and o-rings replacement, problem still there. only the idler pulley left as a final option, hope that fixes it ...
