Question Bank 1 Sensor 2 (CEL CODE P0141)

Hey guys,

I've looked around the forum for a quick DIY on replacing the Bank1 Sensor2 02 sensor on the catalytic converter, and found bits and piece here and there. So I got under the car and took a stab at it with Denso 234-4355 in hand I noticed that the wire length is alot shorter than what it should be and doesnt even come close to the connection just under the passenger side of the vehicle. Did i get the wrong sensor? this was the part number referenced in a post on here, so I ran with it. Am I looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

OM

Bank 1 is in the rear of the vehicle, that's the one you are looking at right?

Denso 234-4355 is a downstream front sensor. Probably that's why wires look too short.

What car exactly do you have? MT AT, which year?

For DIY - there's not that much to it. 22mm wrench or oxygen sensor socket, most likely a torch, unscrew old one, put new one in.

Yeah it the one that is in the rear of the vehicle and comes up and connect up under the passenger side seat. Its a 2005 Acura TL, AT.
I figured the DIY was pretty straight forward, but not if i have the wrong part. Do you have the Denso part# for this CEL CODE?

The code says exactly this "P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Bank 1 Sensor 2"

OEM part number should be 36542-RCA-A01.
Denso part should be 234-4368. Wires are 21 inches long

Looks to be the correct sensor if one believes in description at rockauto.
