Auto window up/down not working, even after reset
I spent a lot of time searching for this, and haven't found a fix as of yet.
I had a shop replace the front passenger window motor/regulator assembly [OEM Acura part] on my 07 TL-S. The window now rolls up and down, which it hasn't done in years, but the auto-up/down function isn't working. I have tried resetting this using both methods I've found here - hold down the button, keep holding for 2-5 seconds, then hold it up, keep holding for 2-5 seconds, and the official Honda method that is 120 steps long. Neither has resolved the issue for me.
I don't know if this is related, but if I hold the window button (up or down), a few seconds after the window has fully opened or closed, it sounds like the motor or regulator clicks once or twice, and I swear I also hear something like the tapping of glass. It's consistent, and only happens on this new motor/regulator.
Anyone have any other ideas? I was going to have the dealership run the HSD tool to reset the auto up/down function since my car will be there for an oil change in a few weeks, but now I'm worried if there's another issue going on.

I should add that immediately following the procedure of holding the window button for 2-5 seconds after opening/closing, the window will not open/close the next time I press the button, like it's locked. The next/second time I press the button, the window moves freely again and continues to do so unless I go through that procedure.

Take it back to the shop and have them diagnose/fix it..

I already spoke with them, and they have no issue looking at it again. I'm asking for my own benefit, because I do work on my own car for most other things.

Since someone else did it and is offering to fix it, I wouldn't mess with it else risk them denying to fix it because 'someone else touched it first'

Just to update this thread, I wound up taking my car to Acura so that they could run their tool against it. They told me they couldn't even see an option to reset auto up/down, and concluded that it was likely a third party motor/regulator. So, I called the shop that installed it, and they took a look at it today. It's definitely OEM (they actually purchased it from my dealership, which made me laugh), and were able to get auto up/down working via their own damn scan tool. Why Acura was unable to do this is beyond me. However, it only works using the scan tool; the switch doesn't work. They called Acura (not the dealer) directly and were told that the issue is the master switch in the driver's side door, and that they sell 1-2 of them per day. I'm not paying $210 for that, but am willing to spend $30 on a used one on eBay just to see if it resolves my issue.
